A Senior Member is a member in good standing who has reached retirement age (as provided by the Social Security Administration, 62 at present), OR has been forced into curtailment because of illness, AND is actively engaged in practice for no more than 20 hours per week, AND who has been in good standing for 15 consecutive years.
Life Membership can be obtained in three ways:
The DPM :
1. Has maintained APMA membership for a minimum of 15 consecutive years AND is at least 65 years of age AND is completely retired from practice. -OR-
2. Has maintained APMA membership for a minimum of 25 years AND is completely retired from practice. No minimum age requirement. -OR-
3. Has maintained APMA membership for a minimum of 50 consecutive years. No minimum age requirement and the DPM may still be in practice.
The DPM must also be a member in good standing at the time of application, and complete the Life Member application.
